R. H. T. Bates Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies


Jewish Scholarships Applicants must have a physical science or engineering as an important part of their undergraduate degree. For the purposes of this scholarship, the science of physics would be considered mean physics, chemistry and mathematical sciences and information. At the time of application students must engage in postgraduate study (honors, masters or doctorate). Students in final year undergraduate studies are eligible to register. To receive the Jewish Scholarships candidates must be registered for the doctoral program at New Zealand Universities and should be involved in courses for most of the award period, which for most, if not all, in 2012.

Policy Assistant – Clinical Services and Standards Jewish Scholarships


Jewish Scholarships the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) is an organisation focused on the promotion of gastroenterology within the UK, with over three thousand members drawn from the ranks of physicians, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, scientists, nurses, dietitians, and others interested in the field. We are now looking for an extra member of staff to support the Executive Secretary with administrative and organisational duties. As Jewish Scholarships this is a newly created position, it would initially be for a 3-month trial period with a possibility of a permanent position if it proves successful.

The Jewish Scholarships role holder would be responsible for the administration concerned in producing guidelines for good practice is gastroenterology and assisting with maintaining the database of all gastroenterologists currently in practice.

Jewish Scholarships applicants should be educated to degree level or have relevant work experience, preferably in an administrative role with good knowledge of the health service in the UK, and some understanding of gastroenterology as a specialty would be useful but not essential. They should be able to prioritise and manage their own workload effectively and be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent software applications.

PhD Jewish Scholarships 2011,Denmark


One to two PhD mobility Jewish Scholarships at the Department of Physics and Chemistry are available as of 1 November 2010 or earlier.
Eligibility:
The mobility Jewish Scholarships may be sought by students, either with or without a previous Master’s degree, who wish to obtain a PhD degree, who have not taken their exams at the University of Southern Denmark, and who have agreed on a PhD project with a supervisor employed at the Department of Physics and Chemistry. Part-financed scholarships are also available if the supervisor (or student) is able to co-finance the scholarship. The PhD Jewish Scholarships programme at the Faculty of Science can be completed as a three-year study with a previous Master’s degree or as a four-year study without a previous Master’s degree. Applicants without a relevant Master’s degree must have passed a minimum of 240 ECTS-points (Bachelor’s degree plus one year (60 ECTS-points) of graduate study). The Department of Physics and Chemistry employs 36 tenure researchers covering a wide scientific area from physics to chemistry within which the department has several cross-disciplinary activities. Applications including project proposals within the above mentioned title formulated in cooperation with a supervisor from the department are welcome. The title Physics and Chemistry Complex systems is to be understood as areas of research where complexity demands an interdisciplinary approach. The Jewish Scholarships applications are evaluated based on a number of criteria including the quality of the applicant (publications, grades, references etc.) and the quality of the project considering the strategic research areas of the department.

3 Gerda Henkel Jewish Scholarships in the History of Ideas, Germany

Scholarship Details:

In collaboration with the Gerda Henkel Foundation, the German Literature Archive Marbach, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel have awarded the Gerda Henkel Scholarships in the History of Ideas three times since 2007.

Application Details:

Applications are invited from doctoral and post-doctoral researchers who are planning a history of ideas project based on the source material held at one or more of the three research institutions. The maximum bursary period is five months, and the grant amounts to 900 Euro per month for doctoral and 1500 Euro per month for post-doctoral candidates.
